3 1/2 "Two may be better than one." Stars! This was good. It took me back to that fun time in my reading journey when I was devouring any and all things vampire. Or any PNR, really. Ryder was a super sweetheart with a lot extra going on. Love him. Scarlett was okay. She did get on my nerves. But just a little. I enjoyed this book a lot. It was quite sexy with a little bit of a mystery and some action scenes. I'm happy this series is continuing. This would also be a good place to jump in if you don't want to start at book 1. Happy reading!

And we’re back in the Scanguards world again! I took a detour to dive into the Stealth Guardian stories but it feels really good to be back in the “main” world. This story is about Ryder and boy oh boy did I forget his dad’s story. If you haven’t read the original Scanguards Vampires series, I highly recommend starting from there and getting here naturally. It gives you a lot of history for many of the “side players” in this hybrid spin-off. After all the attention Grayson got in the Stealth Guardian books I thought for sure we would start with him, but Ryder is also awesome. He has an… affliction. Being a satyr/vampire hybrid, he’s got urges and it has led him to live a very restrained life. Scarlet lives a very sheltered life herself. After her mother died and her half-brother was murdered, her father really upped his protection game. She has to hide her more adventurous side, which is a challenge when she’s saddled with Scanguards bodyguards everywhere she goes. It was immensely satisfying watching her mess with Grayson, though. After adventuring out and making some questionable one-night-stand decisions, she ends up with a new bodyguard - her hook up! The sexy dirty goodness of this one can’t be understated, but it does take a while to get to a HEA. There’s mystery, betrayal, and oodles of secrets. This book is guaranteed to get you hooked for the duration!

Ryder's Storm Ryder is Gabriel and Maya's hybrid son. He is part vampire and part satyr. When he meets Scarlet at a club, she gives him a fake name because she is overwhelmed with her uncontrollable sexual need and is ashamed of it. She happens to be the daughter of a rich man who had hired the Scanguards agency to protect her and her current hybrid guard refuses to guard the spoiled daughter. Now unbeknownst to Ryder he is about to meet his new client and it happens to be Scarlet. Betrayal, lies, sex, and dangerous encounters make this book so exciting. I loved it.

Ryder's Storm... Scanguards Hybrids book 1. A fabulous story filled with drama, mystery, high angsty twists and turns. No spoilers from me. Ryder is the next generation spinoff of the original Scanguards. He ends up having to guard his one night stand. Scarlett has plenty of issues and is running thru her bodyguards. Now let the craziness on level 10 commence. Awesome seeing the whole crew and family.

Ryder meets Scarlett in a bar prior to being assigned as her bodyguard. Soon after their tryst, he discovers she is his mate. It is against the rules to date your charge but rules are challenged. There's plenty of passion and intrigue that threatens Scarlett's life. Spending time with the Scanguards group is always a pleasure and this book was a long awaited for treat.

Aside from a few winces at the grammar (gonna and wanna are not actually words and for someone with a higher education I’m not buying them using that vocabulary)
But it’s a good book, I love how Ryder is with her, not so sure I like Greyson too much but since his book is next I might go backwards and catch up first.

Unexpected mate I love reading the Scanguards series. Each book has it own uniqueness to them. Ryder never thought he would find his mate. Scarlet just wanted to be free to be herself. But you never know when you'll find your mate. This book was enjoyable , lots of mystery, and action. Can't wait to read the next one.

Brill. Book 1 of the kids starts with Ryder and he will be part Satyr like his dad, Gabriel. Scarlet is certainly a match for Ryder but I was frustrated by the amount of times he had to tell Scarlet who and what he was but never did and kept putting it off. Never did like or trust Derek and Claudia.

After originally reading about his parents Gabriel and Dr. Maya Giles I was looking forward to hearing more about Ryder. I was not disappointed at all. At the start, Ryder is getting tired of being on the scene with countless hookups. Unknown to Ryder he meets Ph.D. candidate Scarlet King. Of course, after the pair’s steamy night hookup they meet each other again. In a turn of events, Scarlett is the Scanguards' latest client daughter. This dilemma is one of the things that the pair had to deal with among other things. As the story progresses Ryder and Scarlett learn more about each other and as well as themselves. There are also appearances from some of our favorite Scanguards characters. I want to give away any spoilers, but I will say I have my suspicions of a few characters. I couldn’t put the book down. I loved that Ryder and Scarlet did arrive at their HEA. Overall, I enjoyed the book. I am looking forward to Damian’s story next.
